JobPurpose:

For our office in Lysaker we are looking for 4 motivated students intheir third or fourth year of their Master of Science program within marineengineering or similar to work within one or several of the following areas:

 
• Structural design and     analyses including FEM
• Pipeline engineering 
• Hydrodynamics and dynamic     analysis
• Computer Aided Design (CAD)     and 3D modelling (Inventor)
• Engineering for marine     operations

Typical areas of study are:

 
• Marine Technology
• Materials Technology 
• Mechanical Engineering
• Oil and Gas Technology
• Civil Engineering
• Petroleum Engineering, or     other adjacent / relevant engineering studies

Functionallyreports to: Line Supervisor Discipline / Line Manager Discipline

Operationallyreports to: Project Lead Engineer / PEM / PM

DirectlySupervises: N / A

Internalkey interactions: Engineering, Project, Sites, Subcontractors Offshoreoperations.

JobScope

The exact content of the summer job will be defined when starting atour office. Typical duration will be 1-2 months (July and August), howeverother (longer) periods and durations are also relevant. Typically the summerinterns are connected directly to an ongoing project and will be part of a“live” project team.

This role will suit a student seeking the challenge of personalaccountability through the full project life cycle; from design, fabricationfollow up and offshore installation.

Profilerequirements:

Main requirements 

• Completed 3 or 4 years of     Engineering M.Sc. studies at University level
• Good verbal and written     English
• Above average grade point     average
