Kids Coding Camp teachers

We are seeking tech-savvy students to inspire young coders at the Schibsted Kids Coding Camp in Oslo and Stockholm. The camp, which was first launched in 2019, is now gearing up for its highly anticipated 4th annual summer edition. Join us as we invite employees' children to three fun days at the office, where we combine programming, play, and excursions!

As a member of the teacher team, you will be responsible for planning the camp together with the Project Manager, as well as managing the camp. At Kids Coding Camp, we use Scratch to teach children programming and empower them to create their own projects or games. Our aim is for kids to feel the thrill of mastering a new skill and enjoy every minute of it. And we'll make sure to include plenty of playtime and excitement along the way!

We're looking for students who meet the following requirements:

  • Knowledge of programming, preferably with experience in Scratch

  • A pedagogical approach and the ability to teach and guide children

  • Enjoyment in working with children, previous experience working with children is a plus

  • Fluency in the local language (Norwegian or Swedish)

  • Must provide a police certificate before employment

About the camp: The camp takes place in our offices in Oslo and Stockholm, and is held in week 26, from June 27-29. The children are between the ages of 8-12 and have parents who work within Schibsted. The workday starts at 8:00 and ends at 4:00. Some hours of work are also required beforehand to plan the schedule. You can expect approximately 35 hours of work in total, spread out across the planning and execution of the camp. Read more about Schibsted Kids Coding Camp here!
