You will be part of the team working on Sportradar's Odds products which offer popular pre-match and in-play trading services, used by over 200 customers, for 83 sports and 750,000 events worldwide. The services are fully automated and ready for direct customer use over API’s and web interfaces. The client can control their sportsbook in web interfaces, configuring everything from event and odds creation to market monitoring and result confirmation.
In your role, you will take part in our work by migrating the remaining legacy code to our modern tech stack. In some cases, you may have to explore our past to build the future. Having analytical skills can be a benefit in this position. You will be working on the newest technology, where your days will not only include developing a brand new solution but also taking part in projects around alerting, monitoring and security. We are 6 developers in the squad, located in Trondheim, Oslo, Bergen, UK, and Finland. We are structured as a squad in the context of Spotification. The squad is applying agile ways of working such as Kanban and following trunk-based development with frequent retrospectives to improve. Our tech stack includes Java, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, gRPC/Protobuf, Quarkus, Microservices, CI/CD, SQL++.
As a Java Developer, you will be a part of a team that is working on pre-match Odds. We are currently working on updating the automated Odds trading systems. This is an initiative that is focused on enabling latency reduction, scalability, and maintainability. We are optimizing auto trading performance, stability, and availability of our systems by splitting tools into smaller and manageable services and migrating them to the cloud.
