Höegh Autoliners is a global leader in Ro/Ro deep sea transportation services. The company owns and operates about 50 Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) in global trade systems, making around 3 000 port calls yearly. Managed from a worldwide network of around 20 offices, our main customers are major manufacturers of new cars, heavy machinery and other rolling stock. As a Maritime Trainee in Höegh Autoliners, you will be working within our Commercial teams in a thriving international context. This will provide you with diverse, relevant, hands-on development experiences in a global shipping organisation. Relevant departments during the trainee period are:
• Sales
• Trade
• Operations
• Chartering
• Business Analytics
The Maritime Trainee Program has been part of the Höegh Autoliners talent management approach for several years. The aim of the trainee program is to be part of daily operations of the organisation, and gain knowledge about our business operations. Over the 18 months period, each trainee will rotate a minimum of two times across the organisation. During the Maritime Trainee Program, you will be assigned business roles to gain hands-on experience with our Commercial activities.

If you are about to finish your master’s degree in technology, business, IT or law you should consider applying to this renowned program. The program lasts for 18 months and combines working in a world leading maritime company with an academic program with five modules conducted in Norway, Singapore and London. As a trainee you will work in a leading Norwegian maritime company and participate in an academic program with five modules in Norway and abroad. The academic program will cover topics such as digitalization of the maritime industry, insurance, finance and international regulations and maritime market opportunities within the ocean industries (offshore oil and gas, offshore renewable, aquaculture and fisheries, deep sea mining etc.). You will be hired in a permanent job and given a mentor that will support you as you embark on a global career. As part of the 18-months long program, you will rotate in the company’s different departments in Norway and abroad. This gives you a unique platform to kickstart your career.
