We are looking for a Junior Quantitative Analyst, who is keen to learn the trading and portfolio management business. The right candidate will be performing own trades in an inspiring and challenging environment.
In addition to the commercial back ground you have an in-depth interest and skills in IT and trading. You will be a key player in enabling Statkraft to extend our trading and portfolio management services on new platforms.
The team
The portfolio team in Trondheim executes financial and physical bilateral trading in the Nordic Market. The team is part of Statkraft Nordic Origination team that provides a variety of services and is one of the largest bilateral traders of energy and energy related risks in the Nordics. With the increase in business and more focus on new IT tools to better serve our clients and trading partners we will strengthen the portfolio team that can help us to develop new concepts and services.
The role will report to the Senior Commodity Trader and is based in Trondheim.

Your profile
Technical and/ or economical degree from university level
Good knowledge of mathematics/statistics is an advantage
Strong experience with modern IT development tools (Python, times series databases etc.)
Interest for machine learning and predictive analytics
Be generally eager to learn about new trends and technologies
Some experience in energy trading business an advantage, but not essential
Excellent social and communication skills
Fluent in English and preferably Norwegian
