Zivid Labs is a start-up company that has developed a world-leading 3D camera technology. They have high ambitions for their technology, and are therefore looking for smart and energetic people to join them on the quest to define the future of 3D vision. The company is a spin-off from SINTEF (the largest independent research institution in Scandinavia), where the founders, Øystein Skotheim and Henrik Schumann-Olsen worked for 15 years’ in the field of optical sensors, and 3D machine vision for robotics and automation. You will have an important voice in a small but rapidly growing team, work with further developing the technology, and you will have a central role in a newly started company with a great international potential. A position at Zivid Labs guarantees an extremely proficient and innovative work environment. They have developed a new and world-leading real-time 3D camera that offers a unique combination of high speeds, color and ultra-high precision at the same time. The camera is primarily aimed for use in robotics and industrial automation. In order to work like humans, robots need to see like humans and that is exactly what this camera helps with. It can e.g. be mounted directly or near a robot, and help with recognition and selection of randomly placed parts, or quality control of components in a production line. The camera is also able to perform quick 3D scanning of objects, which can be used for 3D printing.
Zivid Labs has achieved a good response in the market, and is now in a piloting phase together with multiple high profile international companies. You will be part of a passionate, high performing cross-functional team using state of the art hardware and software technologies, methods and tools. We can offer an open collaborative environment where we encourage taking risks. You will work at their offices centrally located in Oslo Science Park. They offer flexible work hours, with competitive terms and being part of a young startup company you will have high degree of influence and autonomy. Some work-related travels must be expected.

We are looking for extremely bright, top levels or equivalents and a first or upper second degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related discipline. Nevertheless, you should be into programming!
To succeed in the role we believe that you are motivated to work in a startup with high speed, passion and great opportunity to impact and learn. You should have strong analytical- and communication skills, being team-oriented in addition to self-driven. You have a high passion for technology, and are always hungry for more knowledge. Lastly, you are a quick learner and have a good eye for quality.

Zivid Labs, a spin out from SINTEF, has developed Zivid - the world's most accurate, real-time, color 3D camera for robotics and industrial applications. The camera provides robots and machines with 3D vision, to make them smarter, more flexible and more intelligent. Among many applications, Zivid can be used to recognize, pick and place randomly distributed parts, or it can do in-line quality control of components in a production line.
