As a Transmission Engineer you will be responsible for following tasks: • Transmission Network planning and designing, Software Commissioning, Cutover for devices of optical network • Provide technical support for optical network devices to customers, including dealing with technical problems and faults, maintain the daily operation and device upgrading • Subcontractor field support for the engineering project • Perform demanding technical activities such as software upgrades, technical audits and network design   In order to be successful in this role, we are looking for a candidate with following qualifications: • Bachelor degree within IT, telecom or equivalent • Minimum 2 years experience in Transmission Network technical support • Be familiar with WDM/SDH • Knowledge of optical transmission, IP and data communication • Proficiently use of analysis instruments of spectral, Ethernet network • Strong communication skills to understand customer’s technical requirements • Good interpersonal communication skills and high ability to work in multicultural and multinational teams • Team player, self-motivated, result-oriented and highly independent • Fluent in English both orally and written, and fluent in Norwegian is preferred We offer: • Exciting challenges in a growing company with excellent financial results • Challenging assignments to meet the client’s needs in a very competitive market. • Career development in a world leading Telecom company • Attractive office location at Fornebu • An international corporate culture founded on our six values; Customers first, dedication, continuous improvement, openness and initiative, integrity and teamwork If you feel that telecommunication is the future, seize the challenge and apply today.
