Trainee in Maintenance

Our program for your success

We are committed to preparing you for the job. The Hydro Trainee Program leaves nothing to chance: We will start by discussing your individual assignment plan for the program, which lasts 15 months or more. You will spend three to six months in different departments at two or more sites – one of which will likely be in Norway or Italy. Throughout the program you will receive support from our HR department and your personal mentor. You will also benefit from our international on-boarding program, numerous training courses, and networking events where you will have the opportunity to meet other Hydro trainees. This is how we plan to make you ready for the challenges in the field of maintenance. Your field of assignment: our foundry and rolling mill in Hamburg where you will ensure smooth-running procedures thanks to your commitment to preventative maintenance. Managing your own projects? Drawing up your data analyses? Driving forward topics like KVP, TPM, and benchmarking analyses? You’ll be asked to do all these tasks and more. We will, of course, be teaching you the ropes when it comes to the most important mechanical maintenance work on our diverse machinery. And when it comes to training employees in maintenance issues? You still manage to impress across the board.

Your qualifications

We will be putting our machinery in your hands once you have finished your degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical engineering, with very good results. If you also have technical vocational training under your belt, you are already a step ahead of most. As a prospective professional, you will also ideally have finished an (international) internship in a production-based industrial company. We also require you to be able to work practically with MS Office. So if you have strong communication skills, a strong command of the English and German language and work in both a systematic and structured way on a daily basis, then we look forward to meeting an ambitious talent like yourself.
