Area of Responsibility Primary Metal Technology is responsible for research and development related to primary production of aluminium. Hydro is world leader within aluminium production technology and has high ambitions for further significant reductions in energy consumption and emissions and to improve efficiency and productivity in electrolysis as well as anode production. Summer interns will work with real R&D projects together with top researchers and experts in aluminium technology. We recruit interns to our disciplines in Årdal and Porsgrunn: Cell design, Electrolysis, Process control, Anode production, Environmental systems, Material properties and design.

Qualifications

Minimum three years of completed studies within areas such as Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Cybernetics, Mechanical Engineering, Light Metal Production, Mathematics, Physics, Embedded Computing Systems

Good academic results

Engagement through student activities

Good communication and cooperation skills

Proactive and result oriented attitude

Fluency in English
